A: University of N. Georgia

A: Music Education - Voice, Major and Piano, Minor

Q: Did you go to your dream college?

A: No

Q: Do you think your college education was necessary for your success in business?

A: No

Q: Who or what led you to your current career path?

A: I wanted to be in something that helped people. I was in a contact position with the state that was ending and I had no idea what I wanted to do. A friend of mine introduced me to this path and it just fit. I’m about to help families in ways I never thought possible.

Q: Was your current career your first choice, or did you switch?

A: I switched several times

Q: Was mentorship significant to your business journey?

A: Yes! Mentors are significant at every step of life.

Q: How do you approach networking and the building of professional relationships?

A: I get to know people and what they do. I see how I can help them and make sure I’m there at every meeting so they remember me when it’s time for me to assist them.

Q: What is the ratio of males to females in your business?

A: There are at least two times as many men

Q: Have you observed or been affected by a wage gap between men and women in your field?

A: No

Q: How have you asserted yourself as a powerful woman in your field

A: Yes. Most definitely

Q: What has been your biggest tool in gaining credibility in the business world?

A: Integrity. My joyful attitude.

Q: How does social media, if at all, impact your business?

A: It’s a tool in my overall marketing and I have to use it to get my business known.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

A: Treat others the way you want to be treated and do what you say you’ll do

Q: Lastly, what would be the number one piece of advice you would give to your high school self?

A: Don’t get frustrated by the walls you run into. Just change direction and embrace the pathway.
