A: Yes

Q: Do you think your college education was necessary for your success in business?

A: Yes

Q: Who or what led you to your current career path?

A: As I continued to study biology as an undergrad, then exercise physiology as a graduate student, my interest in anatomy, physiology and medicine grew, in turn, I applied to medical school, completed my medical degree and have enjoyed the practice of medicine for over 25 years

Q: Was your current career your first choice, or did you switch?

A: My career aspirations evolved and continued to grow as my education advanced. In many ways, the more I learned, the more I wanted to learn. Knowledge built on itself and ended in a medical career

Q: Was mentorship significant to your business journey?

A: Yes, as a business owner I have a great many valued advisors. I would not be able to successfully run the business without them.

Q: How do you approach networking and the building of professional relationships?

A: Early in my career I was heavily involved in business groups such as The Rotary Club, the Better Business group, County business networking groups, etc.

A: 2 to 3 : 1, females over males

Q: Have you observed or been affected by a wage gap between men and women in your field?

A: No

A: Very interesting question, and hard to judge myself. Passive or quiet assertion is very important, I have not seen myself as boldly asserting myself, it is simply not my style. However, regardless of gender, confidence in one's work, leadership and business practice is very important. "Quiet" assertion has served me very well

Q: What has been your biggest tool in gaining credibility in the business world?

A: My education

Q: How does social media, if at all, impact your business?

Q: What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

A: When starting your business, assume the least amount of debt that allows you to get started, focus on integrity not profit.

Q: Lastly, what would be the number one piece of advice you would give to your high school self?

A: Continue to enjoy your education, your friends and family....your career will grow into it's best representation of who you are in that regard.
